Yes remembering those that served our country and celebrating the start of Summer! I always think of a certain cemetery from my childhood. Floral Hills Cemetery in Raytown Missouri has an annual flag display of more than 1600 flags. Several of our church friends are buried there. I always try to visit each year. These pictures are from last year. (It is raining this year so no good pictures.) It’s amazing to see all those flags. It is very hard to capture them in pictures. It is a wonderful experience. If you are in the Kansas City area you should visit some Memorial Day weekend so you can experience it.
If you have ever traveled abroad you will miss that lovely flag Old Glory! We take for granted so much! Celebrate and remember those who have served our country. Buy a Poppy from a veteran. Take some flowers to the cemetery. Celebrate the past. Remember and be thankful.
Here is some more stamping from this week. Julie Sperman made this super cute and patriotic color schemed card using the new Sea Street stamp set and matching Designer Series paper from Stampin’ Up!
Love that little octopus! The inside is stamped too, of course! Thank you Julie!
I don’t live near the beach and I have never been to a Clam Bake. But this looks like a fun preppy way to celebrate. I made this card using Sea Street and In This Together stamp sets. The colors are inspired by the Memorial Day weekend and the Designer Series paper Maritime. In love!
And a super cute selfie of selfies shot with Paula Cannon from our Stamping with Friends event Saturday!
Everyone likes to make fun of all my picture taking. But I love having the pictures later and so do they (I sent our a few and several posted to Facebook “smile”). Off to visit family today and work on some scrapbooking. Can you say Project Life! Have a wonderful Holiday. Enjoy your remembrance of loved ones passed. Diana
