Need a bit o' green for your door? Have college student that could use some door decor? Or a loved one in a nursing home or hospital? How about a sweet little door decor for them?
I used my Big Shot and Hearts Collection Framelits to create my Shamrock. It's like a single banner. How fun would it be to make a whole bunch of these and hang them together as a banner. Start your Big Shots! Each leaf is a layer of Gumball Green Card Stock layered with more hearts from the Lucky Limeade sheets in the Designer Series Paper International Bazaar.
Then layer each one on a 2-3/8" Scallop Circle Punch in Tangerine Tango Card Stock and popped up with Stampin' Dimensionals. I also added Basics Rhinestones in the center of each shamrock that I colored with an orange Sharpie Marker.
To make the stem I just cut a piece of matching card stock and rounded the corners. The tiny dots of white on the scallops of the project are made with my white uni-ball Signo Gel Pen and really pull the stem and the leaf shapes together visually so the it looks like a shamrock instead of focusing on the fact that it is three hearts and a stem. (I think.) I also sponged the edges of all the green parts with Gumball Green Classic Ink.
Punch a whole at the top, add your matching ribbon and hang. Now remember I said I was going to mail this? How? The pieces are held together and pivot from the center 3/16" Glitter Brad in Old Olive. Here is a look at it all swivelled together. Just send some sticky strip and a card with instructions when you mail it…or better yet call to follow up on your mailed creation!
