For this months Stamping with Friends we each needed to create a Mother’s Day or Father’s Day Card. I made several variations on the same design. I used a tweak here and there and came up with six different cards…
I think this is my favorite? My mom’s favorite color is blue…could you guess that? Here is another one…little different.
I’ll have a few more variations tomorrow and a look at the cards the other ladies created. I’ll have some Father’s Day Cards to share from the trades.
I used the same basic supplies with a few variations. The main showstopper on these creations is the lovely, Swallowtail single stamp. I stamped it with VersaMark Ink, and heat embossing with White Stampin’ Embossing Powder.
I used my Big Shot and Chevron Textured Impressions folder. Some of the cards have all the edges sponged, some just in certain places. The pattered paper is the Pacific Point paper in the Designer Series Paper International Bazaar.
The lighter blue paper is Marina Mist. I also used Whisper White Card Stock. I don’t tend to use blue until I make something for mom. I always forget how much I love Pacific Point. Such a pretty bright and cheery color. We had another snow storm this weekend, and we can use all the bright and cheery we can get in the KC Area.
SO ready for spring! I know Mother’s Day seems a long way off. Hope these give you some inspiration and ideas to get ahead start on the coming holidays. I love being ahead on my to-do list. Don’t you?
You can purchase all the supplies I used from my Stampin’ Up! store here. Have a great day. Diana
