Bunting and Banners are all the rage! (I can't stop making them either.) They are just too stinking cute. So for the baby shower for Jessica I just had to make one…I might not be able to stop with just one…
I used quite a few supplies and was TOTALLY inspired by Shelli Gardner, remember this post here? And I have made this one too, I am telling you this is SO addictive. I just might make one for every holiday this year.
I colored the Silver Glimmer Paper with my Pool Party re-inker and a cotton ball. The letters are die cut using my Big Shot and the now retired Serif Alphabet Bigz Dies (I keep tell you get what you love when you can). I stamped the background of several of the "flags" using the Elements of Style stamp set.
The tiny flowers are from the punch flower in the Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack. Love to scatter those little things on my banners.
The "B" flag uses Whisper White Craft ink, White Stampin' Embossing Powder on Pretty in Pink Card Stock. I stamped with Craft Classic ink several times and just about every element is sponged around the edges in Craft ink too.
Also used in the banner are Pool Party Card Stock, Whisper White, Neutrals Color Collection Designer Series Paper Stack (Craft), Pink Pirouette Card Stock, First Edition Specialty Designer Series Paper and the now retired Glimmer Gold Paper.
For the "A" flag, I stamped the Swallowtail stamp in VersaMark, and heat embossed in Gold Stampin' Embossing Powder on Brushed Gold Paper, then die cut the letter.
The little elephant is from the Sale-A-bration stamp set Patterned Occasions. He is embossed in Pool Party Stampin' Embossing Powder on Whisper White Card Stock.
I used several punches on the project including the 2-3/8" Scallop Circle, the 1-3/4" Circle and the 1-3/8" Circle, Elegant Butterfly Punches. I also used several Dies including the alphabet and Scallop Square Bigz Clear Die. Also the embossing folders, Folder Cloudy Day and Perfect Polka Dots.
The 2nd "B" Flag I stamped my new stamp BFF, Swallowtail Stamp in VersaMark and heat embossed with a tone-on-tone look of Pool Party Stampin' Embossing Powder. LOVE how it looks.
I used my favorite white uni-ball Signo Gel Pen to add a nice details on the Big Square Scallops on each flag. You'll find I used a few Basics Pearls Jewels to add more detail and dimension on each flag. Lots of ribbon and embellishments on this project. Including 5/8" Flower Trim and Tea Lace Paper Doilies.
I stitched elements on each flag with my sewing machine too. It's not a simple project, but it's a total labor of love for Jessica and Baby. Jessica is going to hang this on her chalkboard and each few weeks take a picture of her pregnancy progress.
You can purchase any of the products I used for this and all my projects from my Stampin' Store here. If you need help creating your own banner for any occasion just let me know when your order arrives and I can help.
Stay tuned for more "baby" projects. Hope you have a great day! Diana
