I am super excited to share a whole week of crafty projects for St. Patrick's Day with you. Need decor ideas? Treat ideas? Gift ideas? Stay tuned. Here is the first project for your week…
Need a quick gift? Just add stamping to your jar of gumballs. I got these too cute luster gumballs at William Sonoma. I LOVE the jar. The circle area where the label is, is just about perfect for punching and placing any holiday you wish.
I used the colors of Ireland's national flag referred to as the Irish tricolour for my inspiration. Stampin' Up!'s Gumball Green, Tangerine Tango and Whisper White worked out nicely.
I used the very affordable (just $6.95) Lucky Day single stamp for my project. The 2-3/8" Scallop Circle Punch in Tangerine Tango Card Stock was a perfect fit to cover the gumball label. I also used the Designer Series Paper International Bazaar with the 1-3/4" Circle Punch and smashed a Stampin' Up! Silver Soda Pop Top in my Big Shot. Inside the smashed Soda Pop Top I punched a 1" Circle Punch of the other side of the Designer Paper that just happens to be Lucky Limeade, a perfect touch of another shade of green.
On the lid, ribbon and front of the Pop Top I heat embossed the Lucky Day shamrock in Gumball Green Embossing Powder. Two of them are stamped on Whisper White, one on Lucky Limeade Card Stock. I used my Paper Snip Scissors to carefully cut out the shamrocks for the tag and Pop Top. I also added Basics Rhinestones in the center of each.
I used the Tangerine Tango Polka Dot ribbon and Calypso Coral Baker's Twine around the jar for extra decoration. You could leave them off to simply things, but they really make the project super-cute and step it up a notch.
I echoed the polka dot ribbon with tiny dots of my white uni-ball Signo Gel Pen to add a nice detail on each scallop on the Tangerine Tango.
What do you think? Ready to get your St. Patrick's day craft-on this week? See you soon, Diana.
