Do you Pintrest? Do you pin a lot, but maybe not make as many projects as you would like too? How about hosting a Pintrest Party? Check out the project I took to a recent Pintrest Party at Sarah's house?
Here was my inspiration, found on Pintrest…or pinned to one of my boards…
I made my "ruffle heart" above using the Stampin' Up! Tea for Two Designer Paper, Artisan Embellishments Kit, a die-cut heart (backside) from the More Amore Specialty Designer Series Paper. Cute? The ruffle is from "pattern" paper cut into 2" strips.
I took a box of hearts that I die cut with my Big Shot and Stampin' Up! Hearts Collection & Hearts a Flutter Framelits Dies. I kept a simple pallet of color for the project they each made…here is the Valentine I made at the party and a sample I brought to inspire…
I took my sewing machine, and after each personal decided on there layers, I stitched a straight line down the middle of each Valentine, thru the layers, with no glue…I did not want the glue gumming up the machine.
The ruffle of "sewing pattern" tissue, is created by outlining the largest heart on the backside with sticky strip. Then just gather it as you stick it down to the sticky strip. Super simple, super cute. The paper and layers really make this project!
Here is a screen shot of one of my Pintrest boards…you can follow my boards here if you like…
To host a Pintrest Party I would recommend sending out an email or create an event on Facebook and invite your Friends. Be sure to explain each person should bring a "food" they created from one of their Pintrest Boards, and a craft or little DIY project. Each person needs to bring all the supplies and tools needed to complete the DIY project. So you need to get RSVP's and get a solid head count a few days ahead of time so everyone can prepare.
It is a great way to move some of your "pinned" ideas into completed projects and a fun way to spend time with your friends. Happy Pintresting and Party-ing!
If you need any supplies or help hosting your very own Printrest Party please let me know! I would love to help! Diana
