The mix…check out all the gifts we each came home with.
Shelly jazzed up boxes of mints by adding Stampin' Up! Essentials Designer Fabric (126892) used as ribbon and re-purposed tags from her Stampin' Up! Vacation (pillow gifts from SU) adding a little bling & personalization from her Big Shot. While Julie used Designer Paper Summer Smooches (125409) to alter magnetic picture frames. Such fun and festive ideas for your stamping supplies. All would make great gifts for your friends they would love. Nothing like handmade!
So you might be wondering why we made "roomie gifts" when we did not travel or "stay" anywhere? One of the "traditions" of attending Convention is pillow gifts or gifts for your travel or roommates.
So for our Mini Convention we continued the tradition and made gifts for each other. The black basket in the first picture was my gift. I found the baskets at the Target Dollar Spot. (I just checked last week and they did not have black. I bought the baskets a few summers ago.) I embossed each persons initial in Tangerine Tango Embossing Powder (123106) stamped with Broadsheet Alphabet (120585) with VersaMark Ink(r) (102283) on Basic Black Cardstock (121045) punched out with 1-3/8" Circle Punch (119860) and layer on the 1-3/4" Scallop Circle Punch (110854) out of Brushed Silver Cardstock (100712). Using the Simply Scored(tm) Scoring Tool (122334) I created rosettes for each basket using Howlstooth & Scaringbone Designer Series Paper (126906).
Everyone seemed to really love each others thoughtfulness. (Roomie Gifts were completely optional, but everybody came with handmade treats for each other. Stampers are such nice people!)
Hope you enjoyed a look at our little gifts for each other, all made with Stampin' Up! supplies! Happy Crafting, Diana
