What kind of crafter would I be if I did not recycle a cool box and make it even cooler with some hand-stamping? I guess I could add more glitter? Check it out…
Eclairs! Yummo and cute crafting success for my trouble. I used the stamp set Forever Young (122570) and of course some more of the coordinating fabric Timeless Portrait (122337) with the Fabric Adhesive Roll (122194). I ironed the fabric onto my paper template that I traced around the box for my cover.
Add some ribbon, more paper and fabric embellishments made with my Big Shot (113439) and the Fun Flower Bigz Die (121812), one quick stamped tag using the stamp set Word Play (120308) and we have ourselves a fabulous new box. This box is now worthy to hold precious mementos from any special event, or use it as a special gift box. They will keep this box as a treasure.
I hope this project showcases how fun and special recycling can make your trash into treasures. Now when you purchase your products or food, you might find yourself really checking out the packaging and planning your next project based on what you can do with the container. I know I look at packaging in a whole new light, a crafty-girl scheme just might be in the works. Here is a closer look…
Using Basic Black, Very Vanilla and a nice pop of Old Olive really makes a nice clean project. Less really can be more. And you can see how the simple silhouette really brings the project together nicely.
So after two projects with paper, fabric and the stamp set Forever Young you just might think you "need" these toys. If you need any supplies or crafty inspiration be sure to visit my stampin' store here.
And remember you get a crafty-girl with that…let me know how I can help with your crafting and creating needs. Thanks for stopping by…have you got your supplies and your project ready for the weekend? Off to plan, Diana.
