Well my plan was to digi-scrap a page about Kansas City…but that plan was postponed. Sorry to be MIA. Here is what I have been doing all weekend…
My wonderful 94 year old grandfather was hospitalized Saturday. So I spent the weekend with family from near and far in his room. I cut out over 70 little parts from the new Sweet Celebrations Stamp Set (coming soon) while sitting with family.
He is stable. But still in the hospital. If you are the praying-type please lift him up. (Grandpa Charlie)
Today is one of my favorite spring days…Kansas City Day! I am a proud hometown girl. It is the Royals Opening Day. (they lost, boo who) But since I was not able to make the scrapbook layout I planned to make, here is a local drink to try…Kansas City Bull Dog.
I got this from Blanc Burgers. I am not sure the exact recipe…but here is what I put together from their menu…
I think it is called a Kansas City Bull Dog because of the local milk in the drink. You can visit the dairy…they have different events throughout the year…Shatto Milk is our local family dairy. I LOVE root beer floats! They have Root Beer Milk!
Shatto Root Beer Milk 2 oz.
Kahlua 1 oz.
Vodka 1 oz.
Spash of Soda
Mix with Ice in a Martini Shaker.
Pour into two Martini Glasses.
Toast Kansas City!
Have a great evening…I'll see what I can create with all those cut out parts…Thanks for stopping by. Diana
