Stamping with friends old or new is always therapeutic…so even though I was under the weather I still had a great time. Here is my Swap (trade) from Saturday at Shelly's house. We made ten different projects…this was my contribution. I love Origami. I used the new Halloween stamp set "Twick or Tweet". You can order all the supplies you need here on my Stampin' Up! Website.
The trick on this "tweet" card is to sponge all the edges, so the teeth really show up. I used a 4" x 4" square of my current favorite paper, "Night & Day Specialty" paper only found in the Holiday Mini catalog (which you can download from my left-side bar).
Here are some pictures of the little "how-to" chart I had at the Swap. Step-by-step.
You need to fold this last flap back and forth according style to make the teeth…
You may have to trim the point off, but that is okay. This is not very traditional origami since I use the sponging, and glue…total "no-no's" of origami normally.
I used a blender pen with Only Orange ink pad to color in the little pumpkin that the little birdie holds. The pumpkins "eyes" are just stamped in Basic Black on Only Orange cardstock and cut out with the paper snips and sponged and popped up with Stampin' Dimensionals.
I hope you have a FAB holiday weekend! Thanks for stopping by. Diana
